Northstar Digital Literacy: Assessments and tutorials

Northstar Digital Literacy tests your computer skills. You can build skills in key areas, and demonstrate your knowledge by earning certificates and badges.

Practice assessments

When you log in to Northstar Digital Literacy, you will see a webpage with a list of digital literacy topics. Selecting a topic on this webpage takes you to a practice assessment.

These practice assessments help you understand your level of mastery with various digital literacy skills.

Topics are grouped into three themes and include:

Digital literacy tutorials

Select the digital literacy topic title to be taken to the tutorial. You will be prompted to log in with your email address and password.

Not all digital literacy topics have tutorials yet. If you would like to learn and practice skills for a digital literacy topic that does not have a tutorial, talk to your instructor.

Helpful tip iconHelpful tip:  To return to the tutorial homepage when you are working in the tutorial, select the Northstar Online Learning logo in the upper left corner of the tutorial window. Your tutorial progress will be saved.
